Link of the Week: A Night at the Oscars
By THEBOSTONBACHELOR.COM / November 25, 2007
Though I never was a huge fan of his music in general, this is hands-down the best live music performance from any major awards show.

Unbelievable kid. Way to die young.
V
I remember learning the news from Roy’s AIM away message years ago: “Eliott Smith stabbed himself twice in the heart today. Eliott Smith stabbed himself twice in the heart today.”
Three years later, I returned the kid’s favor when I sent him a 3am email about Arthur Lee’s passing.
thanks for the video link, that was a great performance by (and tribute to the late) elliot smith!
by the way, boston bachelor, when i visited your website an error showed up that said “illegal operations in plug-in” and it had something to do with windows media player. thought i’d give you a heads up in case you didn’t know already.
keep up the great blogging and thanks for your discussion of height on my blog!
Reminds me of the time I woke up one September morning to discover that Steve Irwin was floating in the water dead from a sting ray. Quite frankly I’ve never been the same since.
V
Or the time I called up V in the summer of 2002 and said, “Guess who died?” BTW, did you know years ago she had an infant who died from SIDS just 3 months after birth? They actually moved the infant’s grave from PA to MA so that they could be buried side by side. What a life…
Kid,
How the hell did you find that out? Is there an article on it?
I get sick to my stomach just thinking about it.
I mean… If I had never drawn those mountains would she still be alive today?
I’ll see you in Dante’s 9th level of hell kid.
Limbo,
V
In my last comment, I originally began to write: “I’d like to think that the last thing that went through her head, besides V’s mountain drawings…” and I just couldn’t figure out how to appropriately finish that sentence (without waking up to find myself floating on the River Styx). Same kid, same mind.
Reminds me of the last email I ever got from Elkind:
—————————————————————————————————–
Prof. Elkind,
I apologize for being unable to attend class yesterday. I had to go home for personal matters. Did I miss any significant items mentioned in class yesterday concerning Friday’s exam?
Sincerely,
(Boston Bachelor)
——————————————————————————————————
Ron, Thanks for letting me know, You did miss some notes — can you get them from someone for the exam on Friday? If not, let me know, and I’ll help. Regards, Ron E.

Never saw the guy again.
