How am I supposed to read the innappropriate Griff comments?

And you're scoring on approaches is all wrong.

I said it.

<img src="http://www.jockbio.com/Bios/Hinrich/Hinrich_Images/Hinrich_Bio.03.gif" alt="Scott Skiles - How can you forget this Hoops card?"></img>

I do remember one Celtics-Magic game in '90 or '91 where I had the distinct honor of watching Scott Skiles play. It was one of Larry Legend's best games during the final leg of his career. The Celtics were down by 12 with a little over 6 minutes and facing a hostile Orlando crowd. Bird promptly led the Celtics back to victory, culminating in an in-yo-face turnaround jumper with 29.8 seconds left to go that put the Celtics up by one for good.

<img src="http://www.checkoutmycards.com/CardImages/Cards/001/790/05F.jpg" alt="High comedy"></img>

For some reason, I always confused Scott Skiles with Craig Ehlo back in the day. But I do see the Phil Collins resemblance now.

And here's some random trivia for you: did you know that Scott Skiles was the inspiration behind Woody's character in White Men Can't Jump? In that case, who was Wesley Snipes' character based on--Dennis Scott?

Kid,

I'm glad you brought up Scott Skiles legendary appearance in the original NBA live. As far as I know, thats the only record that exists of him actually being a professional basketball player. Think about it, have you ever seen Scott Skiles play? Me neither.

I think if you go back and look at the picture of him in NBA Live you'd be shocked at the physical similarities between him and Phil Collins in 1986. Based on his breakout 1991 season it seemed he was destined for the Hall of Fame. But something happened on the way to Springfield.

Kid,

Something strange happened to the Chicago Bulls this season. Have you ever witnessed a drop off in talent for a team in one year while the main core of players remained intact? What the hell happened to them? Here are six theories:

1. The team went to Wrigleyville before the season started and ordered a round of enchiladas.
2. Isiah Thomas is secretly managing the Bulls.
3. Ben Wallace decided that this is the year he would stop taking anabolic steroids.
4. The Bulls fired their personal fitness trainers and replaced them with the Matadors (http://www.nba.com/bulls/dance/matadors.html)
5. Thabo Sefolosha.... Who???
6. The team got jealous of their coach Scott Skiles - An NBA JAM legend who holds the record for the most assist dished out in one game (30).

The NBA is Faaaaaantastic!
