<description>The kid has the NBA version of the bends. High comedy.

Kid, Burlington Falls will change your life. It's the modern day version of Bath, England. Next time you're in Burlington I'll take you there.

<description>I think I'm just in shock because the turnaround was so sudden and dramatic. Maybe this is a sports fan's version of the bends ("where do we go from here" there of -- 20 points if anyone made that gonnection).

I'm with you in that after the C's couldn't get a top 2 ping pong ball, I thought I'd never see another banner before I died. But to go from 24 wins to 66 wins and cap it off by winning a title... I don't know what to say. On the one hand, the Celtics were a true team with brilliant chemistry. On the other hand, you could also argue that the Celtics were a team of mercenaries, and that any team could follow the Celtics' formula to turn around its franchise. Does this mean that the Heat could win it all next year? Or that France could take gold in the 2008 Mens' Basketball Olympics? Or that the Knicks could have a winning season??

I think it's time for me to make that pilgrimage to Burlington Falls.</description>

		<description>I mean,

Brilliant kid. I can see how this was more of a closure championship for you rather than a euphoric jubilation. In some regard I felt the same way... A little part of my Celtic pride died last year when they intentionally started tanking games to position themselves for the draft and then ended up with the fifth pick.

You know the old saying kid – It’s not about the ending, it’s about the journey. I think my love for watching NBA basketball kept me through the M.L. Carr and Pitino years. Even though the teams sucked I always thought they had a chance for some reason. And perhaps that's the beauty of watching professional sports... Despite what the experts say, you just never know what could happen if the team started to jell and make a push for the playoffs. If the C's had gone all the way in 2002 I think I would have lost my mind. It just wasn't meant to be though. Perhaps the 17th banner is more of a sigh of relief than anything else. After we got that fifth pick I began to wonder whether I was ever going to see a Celtics Championship in my lifetime. I never have to ask myself that question again. What a fantastic time to be alive.

When you walk through that door kid, I'll be waiting for you at the other end.

<description>that is a great photo. If anybody deserves this win it is the Celtics. They hustled through those games and took down some giants.
